Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ambar Balderas has always valued family, service, and work ethic. Upon graduating from high school with summa cum laude and National Honor Society distinctions, as well as Salutatorian of her graduating class, Ms. Balderas was appointed to the United States Naval Academy. Although she withdrew due to family obligations, she did triumph for two years serving as 25th Company’s Sexual Harassment and Assault Peer Educator and Sexual Assault Response Guide. After transferring back to civilian life, Ms. Balderas earned her Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston Downtown.

In 2012, Ms. Balderas began her legal career as a family law legal assistant. She advanced to a litigation paralegal position in 2014, with a strong concentration in first-party insurance disputes, which aims to protect policyholders from insurance companies who want to grossly underpay or deny their claims. In May 2016, Ms. Balderas gained an executive-level position with a nationwide first-party firm as their Vice President of Operations. Now, Ms. Balderas aims to continue with her passion for helping consumers (the people) against big companies by joining the Ciment Law Firm team as of April 2022.

During her spare time, Ms. Balderas enjoys participating in walks, runs, and obstacle courses supporting causes for military service members and veterans, as well as those that raise awareness for physical or mental illnesses.
