The team brings together professionals who are passionate and dedicated to protecting consumers’ rights and helping people get out of debt. Ciment Law Firm boasts a proven 3-step program that helps consumers get back on track with their finances by resolving their debts, protecting their rights, and rebuilding their credit. In addition to Ciment’s exemplary program, the new leadership team will collaborate on ways to continue to assist and empower consumers to deal with the challenges of today’s changing economy.

Attorney Daniel Ciment, Owner and Visionary of Ciment Law Firm, PLLC. With over 15 years of experience in bankruptcy, debt collection defense, and consumer protection, Daniel Ciment is a recognized consumer advocate and attorney throughout Texas. Following his graduation from South Texas College of Law in 2003, Ciment opened a high-volume debt collection law firm where he filed thousands of debt-collection lawsuits.
From there, he became a partner at a Chicago consumer bankruptcy firm. Ciment’s passion for protecting consumers’ rights and years of experience on both sides of the field put him in a great position to guide clients through a wide range of challenging and time-sensitive legal issues. Now settled in Katy, Texas, Ciment is the owner of Ciment Law Firm, where he strives to help each client take control of their financial lives and resolve the debt issues that are holding them back.
Ambar Balderas, Implementer and COO. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ambar Balderas has always valued family, service, and the importance of having a strong work ethic. Balderas graduated from high school with the highest honors, was a member of the National Honor Society, and the salutatorian of her graduating class. Upon graduation, Balderas was appointed to the United States Naval Academy. Although she withdrew due to family obligations, she served for two years as the 25th Company’s Sexual Harassment and Assault Peer Educator and Sexual Assault Response Guide. After transferring back to civilian life, Balderas earned her Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston Downtown.
In 2012, Balderas began her legal career as a family law legal assistant. She advanced to a litigation paralegal position in 2014, with a concentration in first-party insurance disputes, which aims to protect policyholders from insurance companies who want to grossly underpay or deny their claims. In May 2016, Balderas was hired for an executive-level position with a nationwide first-party firm as their Vice President of Operations. Balderas joined the Ciment Law Firm team in April 2022 to continue with her passion for helping consumers (the people) against big companies.
During her spare time, Balderas enjoys participating in walks, runs, and obstacle courses supporting causes for military service members and veterans, and those that raise awareness for physical or mental illnesses.
Brian Roan, Civil Department Manager. Brian Roan is the newest addition to the team. He enlisted in the Navy in 2000 and spent 14 years on active duty, living all over the country and world, before moving back to Houston to attend school at the University of Houston Honors College. Roan graduated with honors in three years with University Honors for his undergraduate degree in Philosophy. Roan then attended the University of Houston Law Center, graduating in May 2020.
Upon graduation, Roan joined Ciment Law Firm and quickly learned the ins-and-outs of debt protection and consumer law. Currently, his primary focus is Fair Debt Collection Practices Act litigation because he firmly believes that consumers have robust rights that are frequently violated by debt collectors and that they should be held accountable for their transgressions.
Christian Maciel, Intake Department Manager. After honorably serving in the United States Navy, Christian Maciel moved into a career in Marketing and Sales. Maciel has been the department head for the Ciment Law Firm Intake and Sales team since March 2019 and cares about helping clients find the best possible resolution to their financial problems. He spends most of his free time with his family or fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Tonya King, Office Manager. Tonya King has been with Ciment Law Firm since the firm’s founding, moving from Senior Paralegal to Office Manager in 2019. King brings over 20 years of experience in the legal industry focusing on Bankruptcy and Civil Litigation and has worked for both the Plaintiff’s and Defendant’s side. When she isn’t working at the office, King has a passion for photography and is an avid reader of fiction and mystery novels.
Dennis Viveiros, Bankruptcy Department Manager. Dennis Viveiros is a Senior Paralegal with over 15 years of experience working directly with Bankruptcy Attorneys helping people from all walks of life obtain fresh starts and financial freedom. Viveiros enjoys his work in helping the people he meets become debt free and the many lives he can personally touch. Viveiros finds it rewarding to realize that you helped keep a family in their home or were able to assist them get back their vehicle.
Before joining Ciment Law Firm, Viveiros was the Assistant Treasurer for the Houston Association of Bankruptcy Paralegals before relocating to Dallas, Texas, to assist in opening bankruptcy offices in the Northern District.
Viveiros now lives in Katy, Texas, and is excited to be part of the Ciment Law Firm team helping Texans obtain financial freedom.
